The Al-Ahli star is hoping to beat out competition from Douglas Costa and Philippe Coutinho to fill the void left by the injured Chelsea midfielder.
He is now competing with Douglas Costa and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho for the role in Dunga’s font-line and is desperate to prove he is up to the task. He said: “We know that we have this position open. So I think that myself, Coutinho, Douglas Costa, are going to be looking and working for this spot. We’re going to be looking confidently for this spot for whoever suits it best. Who fits better on the team, but there’s an open spot we’re all looking to train well to be able to start with the team. And if I am on the starting line, even better, but if not I’m here to help and do the best I can for the national team.”
