Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek has spoken of his full debut for Chelsea at the weekend in which he came up against Philippe Coutinho.
The 19 year old midifielder has received praise from a number of people for the way he contained the Brazilian and kept possesion comfortably.
“It was amazing to be in the starting line-up. I was having to mark a good player in Coutinho and try and keep him quiet. I had to be at my best.”
Loftus-Cheek is part of a squad that contains four Brazilians and knows that it will be hard to break into the team on a permanent basis.
“Playing with some of the best players in the world, you’re going to get better every day. It’s important for me to work hard and give 100 per cent in training to try to improve. I think I have a good chance, if I work hard.”
