Real Madrid’s Marcelo has lamented the absence of Chelsea midfielder Oscar from Brazil’s Copa America squad.
Oscar was expected to be a definite inclusion in Dunga’s 23-man-squad to take to Chile, however, following discussions with Chelsea staff, he was omitted, supposedly due to an injury suffered during club training.
Speaking after his side’s 2-1 Champions League defeat by Juventus yesterday, former Fluminense full-back Marcelo said: "[Oscar] was being called up. I don’t know what happened, I didn’t get to talk to him, but he’s a great player. Oscar will be greatly missed, but Dunga is the boss and he knows what is best for the Seleçâo."
