Chelsea striker Diego Costa will be given until the very last minute to prove his fitness by the weekend according to manager Jose Mourinho.

The 26 year old has been out for the past few weeks with a hamstring problem but is slowly gaining his fitness.

“Everybody travels to Leicester,” said Mourinho. “I don’t know if Diego will play, I have to think about the gamble. Do we wait a few more days to be really sure? If he was a player without an injury history, I would play him for sure. But he has history.”

Chelsea only need to pick up five more points to secure their first title since 2010 but Mourinho is wary of a Leicester side who have won their last four games.

“If we can get one or three points on Wednesday, it would be very good. I was surprised with their bad positition. For me they are a good team, good players. But after Leicester we have four more games.”
