Barcelona winger Neymar and Celta Vigo defender Hugo Mallo have no love lost between them, as they have consistently butt heads over their past four encounters.
In the 71st minute, just after his goal was ruled offside and Jérémy Mathieu would score the game-winner, Neymar’s rude gesture toward Mallo stole the spotlight after the Brazilian cleared his nose right at the defender. Naturally, Mallo took offense to the gesture and after looking around to see if someone was playing a prank, or perhaps looking to see if there was referee watching, Mallo showed Neymar. Neymar then walked away continuing to clean his nose until he was confronted by Celta captain Augusto Fernández who tried to calm the situation and ask the reasons behind Neymar’s provocation.
