São Paulo’s 1-0 defeat in Buenos Aires last night by San Lorenzo left them with a tough task to qualify from Group 2 of the Copa Libertadores.
Martín Cauteruccio scored the only goal of the game as the South American champions pulled themselves level with second placed São Paulo on six points, a further six points behind runaway leaders Corinthians.
Their final two games see São Paulo travel to Danubio in Uruguay before a potentially crucial home game against arch-rivals Corinthians.
