Former Brazil start Emerson has warned Paul Pogba to think carefully before following in his footsteps.
Pogba has been in great form for Juventus in the past year and despite recently signing a new long term deal he has been targeted by Real Madrid. Emerson made that exact move in 2006 but it never worked out for him in Spain.
“You must not commit the same mistake that I did because at Real Madrid, all is not perfect, I would think twice,” Emerson told Tuttosport.
Emerson only lasted one season at Real Madrid before moving to AC Milan. He said it was nearly impossible to keep up with the demands of the fans.
“It is not all gold that glitters at Real Madrid. Their fans are very demanding. They always expect a new player to make the difference.”
