Internacional coach Diego Aguirre has set his sights on Sherman Cárdenas as he looks to strengthen ahead of the upcoming season.
The 25 year old midfielder currently plays in his home country of Colombia for Atlético Nacional. Atletico-MG and Palmeiras have already expressed their interest and Aguirre will have to move quick to secure a deal.
Cárdenas is contracted at Atlético Nacional until 2017 so it would have to take a substantial bid to make any deal possible. But Cárdenas recently expressed his desire to move abroad in an interview in December.
“I know there are clubs interested. I believe that this is the time to play some football abroad. But I can not talk about the future, because I leave this setting with my manager and my club.”
