It"s still unclear whether Brazilian midfielder and fan favorite Arouca would stay at Santos for the 2015 season.
New president Modesto Roma admits concern on this subject, but says he wants all players to stay. As mentioned in Globo Esporte, Palmeiras are showing interest in Arouca. Although he hasn"t ruled out a move away from the club, Arouca had confirmed that he doesn"t wish to leave Santos in dispute. Modesto Roma told Rádio Globo: “I didn"t talk with Arouca, yet. He"s on vacation and returns on [January] 7th. I will talk to him and all players at the club. We need to keep all players at Santos."
Arouca is also said to be concerned about the delay in payment at the club.
