The future of striker Bruno Rangel seems uncertain after his current club Chapecoense have demanded compensation for his release.

The 33 year old joined Chapecoense last year and has a contract until 2015. According to the player’s agent, Bruno was set to be released if he could find himself another club after becoming surplus to requirements. This now doesn’t seem to be the case.

“I was upset with the situation,” said Bruno’s agent Anderson Nassrala, “There was a verbal agreement that Bruno was to be released with a proposal like this. Botafogo offered two-year contract. It’s a great opportunity. The hope is that he can convince the president Sandro into resubmission.”

If Chapecoense continue to demand money for the player it seems unlikely he will be moving anywhere at all.
