Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu insists he wouldn’t keep Fernando if he wants to leave the club.
Fernando joined Shakhtar from Brasileirão club Grêmio last year, and earned a place in Shakhtar’s starting XI this season after mainly being used as a rotational player at the start. Lucescu was quoted by Tribuna: “I heard that Fiorentina are interested him and this is not a new information for me. If we get a good offer, then we will consider it. If Fernando wants to leave, then I will not keep him. This season he’s been playing very well in the Champions League and he’s an important player for us. It’s not a surprise that European clubs are interested.”
There were previous reports that Fiorentina would be willing to pay €8 million for his services and players can be included in a deal.
