Adelaide United have confirmed that defender Cássio Oliveira has been released.
The 34 year-old, who was signed from Santa Cruz in January 2007, made 110 appearances for the A League outfit, but has seen his contract terminated six months before it was set to expire in June 2015.
“The Adelaide United Football Club has today agreed to a mutual termination of the playing contract of Cássio de Abreu Oliveira effective immediately,” read a statement on Adelaide United’s official website.
“The Adelaide United Football Club would like to express its appreciation of the great service Cássio gave to the Reds during his time and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
