Tiago Volpi has handed a transfer request into Figueirense as there is interest from a number of Mexican clubs.
Figueirense don’t want to sell their goalkeeper but are under pressure from St. Joseph-RS who have a 50% share of the players’ economic rights.
Atlante FC in Mexico and St. Joseph-RS want to buy the remaining 50% of the players’ rights from Figueirense for €800,000, but Figueirense are holding out for more.
Volpi wishes to move to Mexico because he believes it will be the next significant step in his career. The 23 year old joined Figueirense in 2012 and has played nearly 50 times for the club.
