Palmeiras have sacked coach Dorival Júnior aswell as most of their coaching team.
Dorival Júnior only joined the club midway through last season to try and save them from relegation to Serie B. Although he achieved this aim he had to rely on other results on Sunday to escape the drop.
Executive director, José Carlos Brunoro and manager, Omar Feitosa have also been dismissed as the Palmeiras board are unconvinced they can perform better next year.
Brunoro was criticized for his recruitment policy with many of the signings he propsed failing to perform. These include Wesley and Bruno César.
A press conference will be held on Tuesday by Palmeiras president Paul Noble.
