Former Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has turned down a move to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

Scolari was recently approached by the Chinese Super League club who offered him a bumper contract due to start in 2015. The 66 year old is contracted to Gremio until 2016 and was quick to refuse the offer.

Gremio spokesperson Odorico Roman revealed the story on his twitter account,
“Scolari has turned down a proposal from China. He said yesterday (Sunday) his future is at Gremio.”

Scolari has had a tough few weeks at Gremio with the club losing their last three games in the Brasileirão.
