Neymar believes he is ready to lead Brazil, should new head coach Dunga select him as the new captain of the national team.

The 22-year-old captained Brazil in their two friendly matches against Colombia and Ecuador this week and led them to success too.

The Barcelona ace scored the only goal of the game against Colombia and contributed towards the second 1-0 of the week, versus Ecuador.

When he spoke to Goal.com after the game, Neymar said: “I am still a young leader, I am one of the younger players here but I am really happy.

“These four years I have been learning so many things, from the first day until today and now I can help where I can when we have new players, to make them feel comfortable.”

On the two results Neymar helped Brazil achieve this week, the youngster admitted both were difficult matches.

He added: “I think the results here were good. It’s very positive because we had two difficult games but we have won both and so we are very happy.”
