David Luiz was recently unveiled as a Paris Saint-Germain player having signed from Chelsea for £48 million during the summer.

Following the Brazilian’s transfer, Chelsea manager José Mourinho revealed that the defender would not be missed. The centre-half has hit back, according to the Evening Standard, insisting that he does not care what the Portuguese coach has to say.

“Now I am listening to my new coach, to Laurent Blanc, and not my former coach.

“Now what is really important for me are the words and instructions of Laurent Blanc because Mourinho at Chelsea belongs to the past.

“I was very happy over there, I was twice European champion, I won three titles in total. Also I won individual awards but now this belongs to the past. I’m looking forward and I’m looking to the present.”

Luiz joined Chelsea from Benfica for £25m in 2011 and was a key figure as Chelsea won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup before Mourinho returned to the club as coach last summer.
