Rogério recently joined Botafogo on loan from Náutico and the 24-year-old impressed on his debut in the 1-1 draw with Brasileirão leaders Cruzeiro.
Vagner Mancini was pleased with Rogério’s performance on his debut for the Alvinegro but has insisted that the striker needs more game-time before he finds his rhythm.
“I got him in so that we don’t have to rely solely on Emerson. Rogério hasn’t been playing and he needs game-time before he starts playing as well as he can,” the Botafogo boss told Lancenet!.
“I’m sure that he will improve as time goes on.”
Botafogo’s next game is against Atlético-PR in Coritiba on Sunday as they look to move away from the relegation zone of the Brasileirão.
