Brazil international Dedé has admitted that links with Juventus are “flattering” but insists he is happy at Cruzeiro.

The 26 year-old, who has made just three appearances in the 2014 Brasileirão, is reportedly a target for Bianconeri Sporting Director Giuseppe Marotta.

New Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri is believed to have requested a new defender and following on from Milan’s Cristián Zapata and Fiorentina’s Stefan Savić, Dedé is the latest centre-back to be linked.

“I read in the papers that Juventus were interested and it is certainly very pleasing and flattering,” the Volta Redonda native told Radio Brasil, as reported by Football Italia.

“However, I am very happy at Cruzeiro. I feel everyone has confidence in me here, but I am keeping my feet on the ground.”

Since being signed for €5 million in April 2013 from Vasco da Gama – he won the 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and 2011 Copa do Brasil with the Gigante da Colina –  Dedé has been a stalwart for Cruzeiro.

Last season, he scored two goals in 31 appearances to help them win the 2013 Brasileirão, while he was also a part of the side that won the Campeonato Mineiro earlier this year.
