Santos head coach Oswaldo de Oliveira has called for calm in the wake of his side’s Copa do Brazil first leg defeat to lowly Londrina and insisted that they can overturn a 2-1 deficit in the return leg of the third round tie.

Oswaldo was speaking after the game at Estadio Jacy Scaff against Serie D opponents and told reporters: “The reaction of the boys was good, tactically they fulfilled what was asked.”

“Overall it is not the end of the world and we can reverse it in the Belmiro.”

“It was a great game for us, of course we don’t accept defeat, but I think the team performance was good, especially for the development of the boys.”

One of the more experienced youngsters, Geuvanio, scored Santos’ consolation goal four minutes from time to give the Sao Paulo side a foundation from which to rescue the tie when the second leg comes around on August 15.
