Daniel Alves lost his place in the Brazilian national team to Maicon during the World Cup. If rumours are to be believed, his days at Barcelona may also be numbered, with Paris Saint-Germain interested in signing the player.

The 31-year-old will have a meeting with the Catalan club before any concrete decisions are taken on his future.

“I should be staying at Barcelona. I’m waiting to talk to the club so that I can share my thoughts and the dreams I have. After I’ve met with the club, we’ll decide my future. It’s not only down to me.

“Leaving is an option, but I have to speak to the club, who I have a contract with. The idea is to fulfil this commitment but we have to be in agreement. The truth is that I’m really happy at Barcelona. I’m being repetitive but it’s the truth. I’m happy here and I’ve enjoyed some wonderful years here so we’ll see if I return and enjoy more great times at this huge club.”
