Brazil forward Hulk has labeled team mate David Luiz as “just the best” ahead of tonight’s World Cup semi-final clash against Germany.

Luiz will captain Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side this evening in the absence of Thiago Silva, who misses out through suspension.

And Hulk has praised the 27-year-old and described him as a unique person.

The Zenit St Petersburg forward was quoted by the Irish Independent, he said: “Luiz is just the best.

“He’s very caring and very attentive, no matter who he’s with.

“It’s not every day that you come across someone like him.”

Hulk went on to insist that Silva and Luiz are the best central defensive partnership but also believes everybody knows what the former Chelsea defender has to offer.

On Luiz, Hulk said: “The whole world knows what he has to offer on the pitch.

“And to my mind, he and Thiago are the best central-defensive partnership in the world – but as his team-mates, we also know what a great person he is too.”
