Head Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has given a very slight indication that he may tinker with Brazil’s formation for tonight’s World Cup Semi Final with Germany, as he looks to find a way to stem the attacking threat of the European side.

Speaking at a last press conference ahead of the game in Belo Horizonte, Felipao said: “Playing with three defensive midfielders is an option.”

“If I have two players in there, the full backs will have less freedom but I might be able to add something that imposes a bit more damage on Germany, too.”

Scolari’s comments suggest that, were he to opt for such a system, then Luiz Gustavo would line up in the middle of the park alongside Fernandinho and Paulinho, with Ramires being another option for one of the roles.
