Júlio César has been vindicated - Zico
Zico has hailed the Brazilian goalkeeper 'amazing' after his performance against Chile on Saturday.
The 1982 World Cup star paid tribute to César who suffered a lot of criticism after Brazil's 2010 tournament exit against the Netherlands.
Speaking to The Guardian, Zico said: "I have defended Scolari's decision to keep Júlio César as Brazil number one and now it's time for him to be vindicated.
"He was amazing in Belo Horizonte but not only because of the penalty saves. He also stopped a potential match-winning shot in the second half, showing how sharp he can be."
