The Wolfsburg midfielder believes that it takes certain qualities to succeed in the modern game.
Speaking to the press, Luiz Gustavo explained that teams have come to recognise that they cannot afford to give the opposition time on the ball.
He said: “Nowadays if you give space to the opponent everyone gets to play football. What has made a difference in world football is the intensity and aggressiveness. It helps a lot when you have a player that plays that way.”
