Atlético Madrid duo Diego Costa and Filipe Luís could be set to join Chelsea in a multiplayer swap deal, according to reports.

AS, as reported by Football Espana, claims that representatives of both Atlético and Chelsea will meet to discuss the future of five players – Diego Costa, Filipe Luís, Tiago, Romelu Lukaku and Thibaut Courtois.

Costa has long been linked with Chelsea. He was expected to join them in a €40 million deal ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but concerns over the possibility of him aggravating a hamstring injury lead to it been delayed.

The forward has, however, since gone on to play 126 minutes for Spain, which has seemingly allayed any fears.

The second Atlético player set for Stamford Bridge is Filipe Luís. The left full-back, who was signed from Deportivo in July 2010, is believed to have rejected a new contract and will join Chelsea if they match his release fee. Atlético officials expect this to happen and have already signed Guilherme Siqueira from Granada as a replacement.

With so many key players set to depart, the hope for Atlético is that Chelsea will provide at least two new recruits. Goalkeeper Courtois, who has spent the last three seasons on loan, is wanted for a fourth campaign, while Lukaku is seen as a replacement for Costa.

If Atlético’s pursuit of Courtois fails, which seems likely, AS suggests they will move for Levante’s Keylor Navas or Málaga veteran Willy Caballero. If they can’t be signed, then Miguel Ángel Moyà, a €3 million signing from Getafe, could be promoted to first choice.

The final player expected to leave Atlético for Chelsea, Tiago, is out of contract and will sign a two year deal. The midfielder spent the 2004/05 season with the club and has reportedly turned down offers from the Middle East.
