Head Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari syas his team will be up against it when they face Chile in the last 16 of the World Cup, stressing that if he had the ability to cherry pick his next opponents, Brazil’s continental neighbours would not be top of his list.

Speaking in the wake of the hosts’ win over Cameroon last night, Scolari said: “Many thought that Chile wouldn’t make it out of their group, but I’m not surprised. They have a lot of quality.”

“If I had the chance to choose an opponent, I would have picked another team.”

“I would have preferred not to meet Chile. It is always difficult to play against South American opposition. Chile have a lot of individual quality and are very well organised.”

The mouth-watering tie for the right to grab a place in the World Cup Quarter Finals takes place this Saturday at 1700 GMT at the Mineirao in Belo Horizonte.
