A candid conversation between Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari and Hulk will decide on whether the attacking midfielder plays against Mexico this evening, according to UOL.com.

Hulk first felt muscle pain in his left leg ahead of the hosts’ 3-1 win against Croatia last week, and then limped out of training on Sunday morning.

The Zenit St Petersburg player said that he was confident of playing against Mexico but he did not train with the rest of the squad on Monday.

Despite being replaced by Bernard in the first group game of this World Cup, it has been suggested that Chelsea’s Ramires will get the nod if Hulk is not fit for this second World Cup group game.

In a practice match against Fluminense under 20s last week, Ramires played in Hulk’s position and impressed with a goal and two assists in a 4-0 victory.
