An intriguing fixture this evening between World Cup hosts Brazil and Mexico offers something of a ‘decider’ for the pair in light of the past few years, after the latter won the Olympics in 2012 and the former gained revenge by winning in last summer’s Confederations Cup group stages.

Both Brazil and Mexico won their opening matches at this tournament, and so surely something’s got to give tonight in Fortaleza. Striker Hulk, who is an injury doubt for the game, told reporters: “In the Confederations Cup we tried to think only about winning the game and it will be the same this time.”

“If we think think about revenge it could cause us problems.”
