The Brazilian players who started the World Cup match against Croatia are the national side’s most utilised team in the 21st century.

Julio Cesar, Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Marcelo; Luiz Gustavo, Paulinho and Oscar; Hulk, Neymar and Fred have now started together in seven matches.

Oscar told GloboEsporte.com that consistency has proved to be a great advantage for the side.

He said: “It helped a lot. We rely heavily on each other and know the role each can do. This helps us do better.”

This starting line-up played a big part in the Confederations Cup win in 2013, and Brazilians are now hoping that the same team can go on to lift the World Cup this summer.
