Report: Liverpool to open negotiations with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim over forward Roberto Firmino
Liverpool are set to hold talks with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim officials over forward Roberto Firmino, according to reports.
The Metro, citing sources in Germany, claims Liverpool CEO Ian Ayre will fly out to Germany in the coming days to try and put together a deal for the 22 year-old.
Firmino scored 16 goals in 33 appearances to help TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to a 9th placed finish in the Bundesliga and has found himself linked with a number of Europe’s biggest sides.
With such strong interest from elsewhere, Liverpool are hoping to steal an advantage by making an early move for the Brazilian, who was considered an outsider for Luiz Felipe Scolari's 2014 FIFA World Cup squad.
