Adriano Di Vittorio, a representative of Fiorentina midfielder Rômulo, has confirmed that Roma are interested in his client.
The 27 year-old impressed on loan at Hellas Verona last season and is expected to have numerous clubs ready to take him ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.
For the moment, it is unclear whether Fiorentina will retain his services or if Verona will look to sign him outright, while Di Vittorio’s revelation adds further to the mystery surrounding Rômulo’s future.
“We know that Roma are a club who certainly admire the player and are interested. After the Giallorossi’s stunning campaign, I trust they will be protagonists again next season,” Di Vittorio told Calciomercato.com.
“They are an important club, but there’s a long way to go yet in the transfer market and everything is still wide open.
“Our ambitions remain ambitious and now he is no longer a pleasant surprise, but rather a reality in the world of football that counts.”
