Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has been linked with a move to Serie A side Napoli since the end of the 2013/14 season and for the first time the Italian club have revealed they are interested in the Brazilian.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was quoted by British newspaper Daily Star discussing transfer targets today.
He conceded that the former Internacional midfielder is among his clubs targets, De Laurentiis said: “Sandro? He’s one of our targets, but not the only one.”
Though Napoli have long been linked with the Brazilian this is the first time they have openly stated their desire to sign him.
The fact that Sandro now knows for sure, that the Serie A side want him, may help convince the Brazilian to depart White Hart Lane.
With a managerial change at the north London club, the Brazilian midfielder may decide a fresh start would be wise yet this seems like a transfer saga that could run on for quite some time.
