Agent Davide Lippi adamant Guangzhou Evergrande forward Elkeson is not for sale
Davide Lippi, the agent of Guangzhou Evergrande forward Elkeson, has insisted his client is not for sale.
The Brazilian, who was strongly linked with Bologna before moving to China from Botafogo for €5.7 million in December 2012, is reportedly a target for Internazionale and Napoli.
The Serie A duo are expected to make a move in the summer transfer window, but Lippi is adamant that any approach will likely be rejected by Guangzhou.
“Elkeson to Italy? He’s not for sale, it’s as simple as that,” Davide Lippi told Calciomercato, as reported by Football Italia.
“He’s not even on the market, so he’ll definitely be staying in Guangzhou.”
Elkeson has had a successful spell in China. The Coelho Neto native won the Chinese Super League and the AFC Champions League during his first season with Guangzhou and has started the 2014 campaign with 11 goals in 13 appearances.
