Hernanes has once more backed manager Walter Mazzarri to continue in his role as Nerazzurri manager.

The Internazionale boss brought Hernanes to the club in January from Lazio and has made the Brazilian a key player for his side.

After scoring against his former club on Saturday, Hernanes told Sky Sport 24 that Mazzarri is the right man for the job.

Football Italia quoted the 29-year-old, he said: “It’s strange in football because if people don’t see results immediately they boo.

“During some matches there has been something missing at times and the fans have booed. It’s something you need to accept in a season like this.

“Is Mazzarri the right man for the future? Yes, definitely. I really hope we continue with him because I see him as a coach who can do a lot for Inter.”

Since moving to the San Siro, Hernanes has been one of many Inter players to back Mazzarri to stay and the Brazilian will hope his comments don’t fall on deaf ears in the summer.
