Sao Paulo head coach Muricy Ramalho has praised the attitude of his players after they came away from Cruzeiro with a point at the weekend to leave them second in the Brasileirao league championship after two rounds of fixtures.

Muricy told reporters: “Sao Paulo always plays well here, and Cruzeiro knows it. I think we’re still mingling as a team. Since the beginning of the year, the team has changed a lot.”

“We are changing the way we play up front and we have only conceded one goal at the back. We are improving in every way.”

Sao Paulo’s forward ‘Dream Team’ of Alexandre Pato, Paulo Henrique Ganso and Luis Fabiano have yet to fully click yet as well, and Tricolor fans and manager alike will be expecting a championship charge if and when that very thing happens.

Their next fixture is a home league game against Curitiba on Saturday at 1830 Brazilian time.
