The Brazilian defender highlighted the Catalans’ determination to turn round a deficit and record a 3-2 win away to Villarreal on Sunday.

Adriano was also quick to dedicate the victory to the late Tito Vilanova who passed away last Friday after losing a battle against throat cancer.

“This victory will give us confidence and help push us on in the last rounds of the championship. If anybody doubted our dedication and fighting spirit then they won’t anymore,” said the 29-year-old.

“We proved, yet again, that we are strong regardless of the situation. We started poorly but we fought hard.”

“I, like the rest of the group, would like to dedicate this victory to Tito Vilanova, who was somebody that helped put this team together. WE are what we are today, and we own a lot to him.

With three games still to play, Barcelona are second in the table, four points behind Atlético Madrid.
