Vasco da Gama are reportedly interested in taking Internacional youngster Eduardo Sasha to Rio de Janeiro after acknowledging a need to strengthen up front. The now Serie B side have struggled in the attacking department at the start of the Brazilian league season.

With a return of one point in their opening two fixtures, Vasco have highlighted Eduardo as a possible loan target for the remainder of the year, although Lance are suggesting any such move would come in the shape of a permanent transfer.

The 22 year-old has failed to break into the first team at Inter and was on loan at Goias the season before last, before being part of the squad that won last month’s Campeonato Gaucho, the state championship for clubs in and around the Porto Alegre area.

Vasco were relegated last term after a miserable season, a mere two years after winning the Copa do Brasil and finishing second in Brazil’s top flight.
