The Brazilian may be out for three weeks following an injury picked up in the Copa del Rei final but recently spoke with Goal about fans either side of the Atlantic.

“The Spanish supporters are passionate about their club and about football. In Brazil, we are born with a ball at our feet, it’s in our blood. Of course there are some differences, but the feeling for the sport is the same,” started the 22-year-old.

“However, the way of celebrating is different. The Brazilian likes a barbecue and pagode or a bean stew with family and friends. The Spanish celebrate a lot as well. They go out on to the street and meet in restaurants, but without samba and bean stew.”

The Brazil international was also asked what his favourite goal of his career thus far has been.

“There are so many that it’s difficult to decide but I think I would say the first for each club I have played for,” said the former Santos man.
