With Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song linked with moves away, and Xavi failing to confirm what his future holds, sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is thought to be keen on adding the 27-year-old as part of a ‘mini revolution’ at Camp Nou.
Ramires was recently given a four-game retrospective ban following an elbow against Sunderland last weekend which means that, if the deal happens, the former Benfica man could have played his last game for Chelsea.
