Pitch International, the company responsible for organising the Seleção’s friendly matches, have announced that the game will take place on November 12, at a venue yet to be decided.

The two sides faced each other twice in the 2002 World Cup when Brazil ran out 2-1 winners in the group stage and 1-0 winners in the semi-final.

Two draws then followed: a 2-2 in the Confederations Cup and a goalless encounter in a 2007 friendly.

The first game between the two sides took place in 1956 when Brazil ran out 1-0 winners at the Mihatpasa Stadium in Istanbul, the goal coming from full-back Djalma Santos.
