Internazionale midfielder Hernanes is hopeful that he will be selected by Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari for this summer’s World Cup.
The 28 year-old, who has been capped 23 times by the Seleção, was part of the team that won the 2013 Confederations Cup and is confident his form for both Lazio and Inter this season will be enough to see him retain his place in Scolari’s plans.
“I really hope to go to the tournament,” he said, as reported by Football Italia.
“I have already been called up by Scolari in the past, so he knows me and what I can do.
“I am remaining calm – I just hope that my name is on that list.”
