Roma manager Rudi Garcia has confirmed that Maicon picked up a knock in Saturday’s 2-0 win at Chievo.
The Brazil international was replaced at half-time by Vasilis Torosidis, with Garcia forced to reshuffle his defence for the second period.
"I substituted Maicon for [Mehdi] Benatia because the Brazilian took a knock to the knee," the tactician told Sky Sport Italia after the game.
How serious Maicon’s injury is remains unclear at this stage, though 32 year-old is considered a doubt for Tuesday’s home tie against Torino.
