Santos were involved in a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Paulista state championship against Rio Claro on Sunday evening, and it was the club’s two rising stars that were to thank for them getting anything from the match.

The talk before the game was of Santos’ ‘Big Three’ attackers starting together: Leandro Damiao, Geuvanio and Gabriel represent to future of the club after the days of Neymar. But it was the latter two of the triumvirate who excelled, Damiao not registering a goal yet again for his new employers after his move from Internacional.

With the score 1-1 at the break after goals from Renan Diniz and Geuvanio, Santos took the lead when ‘Gabigol’, or Gabriel scored. The 17 year-old is already drawing comparisons with Neymar and has made an impressive start to his career.

Rio Claro equalised and then took the lead through Deniz and Leo Costa before Santos’ Cicero grabbed th away side a point in this six-goal thriller.
