The Brazilian played alongside the Dutchman for three seasons before both left the San Siro in 2012.

Brazil skipper Thiago Silva says he in full support of seeing former teammate Clarence Seedorf at the Milan helm.

“I am of fan of his,” the defender has told Football Italia.

“He is a great coach and a coach with a lot of intelligence.”

“He can change a lot of things at Milan. I am a fan of his, above all, because he is a friend.”

Thago Silva skippered the Seleção in their 5-0 win over South Africa on Wednesday.

The game was considered to be preparation for facing Cameroon at this year’s World Cup but the 29-year-old refused to right off June’s opponents.

“All the African teams in the World Cup are good teams who play well. Therefore, we have to be cautious.”

“Cameroon is a team who likes to play with the ball and doesn’t like to mark players. We now have to prepare well and study them well.”
