Playing together more regularly, as well as the timing of the arrival of Luiz Felipe Scolari as head coach, are the main contributing factors in terms of Brazil’s fantastic international form, according to Hulk. The Selecao strolled to victory at last summer’s Confederations Cup on home soil and have hardly put a foot wrong since the 2002 World Cup winner returned.

“Obviously Dunga and Mano Menezes did an excellent job but I think it was only after Felipao’s arrival that we forged a real team- we were able to make those individual talents gel for the collective good and we thn had a really strong squad. And thankfully we’re enjoying a good moment.

Brazil eased to a 5-0 drubbing of South Africa in Johannesburg last night as Scolari sent out what many believe was the crux of his strongest first team.
