In the four games between the two national sides, Brazil have won all of them.

Three of those games were friendly matches whilst the other was in the 2009 Confederations Cup.

The last game between the two sides was on 7 September 2012. On that occasion, at the Morumbi in São Paulo, the Seleção struggled against Bafana Bafana’s swift counter-attacking style and it wasn’t until the 74th minute that Hulk broke the deadlock with a left-footed thunderbolt. The game ended 1-0.

In that game under the command of Mano Menezes the team was as follows: Diego Alves, Daniel Alves, Dedé, David Luiz and Marcelo (Alex Sandro); Rômulo (Paulinho), Ramires, Lucas (Jonas) and Oscar; Leandro Damião (Hulk) and Neymar (Arouca).
