The Bafana Bafana and the Seleção meet in Johannesburg and the 28-year-old is one of the newer faces expected to be named in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s starting XI.

"I will do what I always do for my club," Rafinha told reporters in South Africa. "I've been called up because of what I do there."

"I must keep doing the same thing to remain in the national team. I must profit from this opportunity."

"It's been a long time since my last game for the national team. I was injured but I will be rewarded for the work I did over the break."

Meanwhile, Fluminense striker Fred is happy to be back in the national team after missing six months of action with a muscle injury.

The 30-year-old is confident that the Seleção will win the World Cup on home turf this year.

"It's been a long time since my last game for the national team. I was injured but I will be rewarded for the work I did over the break."

"Nothing will stop me dreaming. I've been dedicated to my club for a long time and it's no different with Brazil."

"You have certain expectations in every game and you want the team to be more settled every time."

"I'm calm and aware of what I've been doing and how much I've prepared myself for this World Cup."

"It will be difficult for Brazil to lose the World Cup this year."

Both players are expected to start this evening’s encounter at the Soccer City stadium.
