Fans flocked to the main airport in Johannesburg as the final batch of Brazilian players landed in South Africa ahead of Wednesday’s friendly at Soccer City as the World Cup hosts’ European players finally met up with the rest of their teammates.

Arriving at 10.25am local time, the clamour for journalists and supporters to get pictures was palpable as Neymar, the face of this summer’s tournament and Brazil’s superstar player, got off the plane.

The Barcelona attacker even took the time to pose for a couple of photographs and signed an autograph for one lucky, and shellshocked, fan.

Ahead of the game on Wednesday, Brazil will have a solitary training session at Soccer City stadium on Tuesday. Chelsea quartet David Luiz, Oscar, Ramires and Willian travelled from London together yesterday, and Brazilian trio Jo, Fred Jefferson and the other Brazil-based contingent did likewise.
