An interesting story was revealed following Chelsea’s 3-1 win against west London rivals Fulham as Brazilian Oscar told club officials he would walk home from Craven Cottage.

In the modern era of footballers buying expensive car after expensive car the Metro reported the news via a tweet from Sky Sports Andy Burton and shows there is a down to earth element around 21st century footballers.

The tweet stated: “A 1st for me covering the Premier League. Have just seen Oscar tell officials he doesn’t need to find the team bus as he’s walking home!”

The Brazilian lives just a short walk away from Fulham’s stadium according to the English paper and instead of using the team bus apparently decided to go for a walk.

Oscar played 78 minutes of Chelsea’s win and impressed once again in his 101th appearance for the club.

The victory keeps the Blues top of the Premier League table and Oscar will hope one bus he won’t miss will be Chelsea’s victory parade should they win the Premier League table.

Oscar is due to link up with his international team mates next week and will certainly have an interesting story to tell all of his colleagues.
